About Smerco
19yr old Seth Mercer made his debut as SMERCO with his first release “Supreme Dreams” on April 1, 2022. “Supreme Dreams” was written to express SMERCO’s desire for a different life, something he’s dreamed of since a kid and Supreme is also one of his favorite brands.
Music and the music industry has been in his life since he was born. His grandfather managed Cleveland based group, the Dazz Band (“Let It Whip”) and his mother is well known in the industry having held promotion positions with various record labels and managing a local artist so SMERCO has spent a lot of time on the road, in radio stations and recording studios.
It was in his freshman year at Ohio State that he was introduced to making music as a hobby that quickly turned into a passion and a skill for writing. He has not been honing his skills long but his determination and passion are quickly making SMERCO a fresh face and sound to keep an eye on. Since “Supreme Dreams”, he’s had 3 standout singles, “For Me”, “Staying Humble” & “SMH”. At such a young age, SMERCO’s lyrical content is about his authentic life, morals, and goals. He raps about wanting a better life, his friends, love life, fast cars and fashion. His stage presence resembles a more seasoned artist and leaves a positive and lasting impression at every performance.
SMERCO is eagerly anticipating the release of his first 6 track EP entitled, “The Beginning” on January 27, 2023. The first EP release, Cold World, dropped on his 20th birthday, 12/2/22 and the 2nd EP release, “Fly” drops on 1/6/23. SMERCO describes the EP as, “My first ever project, illustrating new beginnings and the journey that I am on to live a new and better life. Bringing the younger me with me and leaving our past behind us. I have a couple people to help guide me, but for the most part, I am on this long road all alone.”
To date, SMERCO has over 162,000 streams on Spotify. Upcoming Ohio Weekend tour with Mike Scoop in Columbus 2/2, Cincinnati 2/3 & Cleveland 2/4.
